There is currently so much noise about consumer rights, but why must ratepayers keep paying the City for poor and even no service?
The past week has been the sixth time this year that our refuse was not removed. Where I live in Roodepoort the streets have never been swept and the grass on the pavements has never been cut, except by the residents themselves in the past 20 years!
It seems to me that, as in so many cases, taking responsibility applies only to private citizens and businesses, and not to the state.
