Little ones treated by foundation

Fun day for underprivileged children.

The Deon Rothman Foundation recently hosted a fun day for abused and underprivileged children at Jump N Play Nursery.

Safe Trip transported the children to and from the venue, while Beanies for Beings and Aveya sponsored goodies such as toys and sweets. No Fluff Puppet Shows entertained the children and there was even a Power Ranger to thrill the young ones.

The aim of the event was to reach the less fortunate children in the community. Each child received toys, clothes, toiletries, stationery and sweets. “But the main goal was just to let them get out and play,” said founder of the foundation, Ronel Hayes.

The Deon Rothman Foundation was started in the wake of the death of baby Deon Rothman who was allegedly murdered by his father, Marthinus Pelser, in 2016. Pelser’s trial will start on 21 September.

The foundation is an NPO and anyone who wishes to make any kind of donation can contact Ronel on 082 607 7058.

The next outreach will be in Munsieville on 30 September.
