Mother and daughter Danny and Kaylie Greef competed in the South African Poledance Fitness Association’s (SAPDFA) Pole Awards Regional and National competition. The event was held at the Roodepoort Theatre late last month. Dancers from all over South Africa participated in the competition.

The dancers were to achieve 80 per cent or more in the regionals to receive a Regional medal, and then to move on to the National competition. They then dance again to achieve 80 per cent or more to receive National colours and a medal. The dancers are judged on the last dance. They can also receive bronze or silver medals, depending on their points.

For their duet the mother-and-daughter team received 76 per cent and a silver medal. Kaylie also received a 79 per cent and a silver medal for her solo performance in the regionals.
