Entrepreneurs in the making
Grade 7 learners put their entrepreneurial skills to the test.
Ice cream, waffles and go-karting were the order of the day as Trinityhouse Little Falls Preparatory School held its annual Entrepreneur’s day.
This forms part of the Grade 7 Economic Management Sciences curriculum. A lot of hard work goes into each business idea and the Grade 7s learn some very basic business skills in the process.
Once the day is complete, the Grade 7s are expected to do a business presentation based on their ‘business’. They are expected to draw up an income and expenditure statement as well as show their advertising skills. The learners have a lot of fun creating their businesses and selling their wares.
2017’s Market Day was once again a huge success and a good day was had by all. The profits for the market day go towards raising funds for the Grade 7 Farewell and outing.
“It was so much fun to see our pupils create their own businesses. They learned how much heart and finances it takes to create a profitable business, maintain it and be an economic success in a very competitive industry. Trinityhouse Little Falls makes learning so fun and extraordinary,” said Adrienne Hadebe, marketing coordinator for the school.
