Maleehah was one of them. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle also died.

According to police spokesperson Mpho More, it is standard police procedure to charge a driver or drivers with culpable homicide when an accident causes someone’s death. “Both are charged with culpable homicide since it has not been established who was guilty. A witness statement (initial statement) would be taken from both drivers as well as any eyewitnesses. This will then be presented to the Senior State Prosecutor who will decide who will be charged and for what. He could for instance charge a driver for murder. He could also decide not to prosecute anyone,” she said. “In this case only Malick and the eyewitnesses will make statements, which will be brought in front of the Senior State Prosecutor,” she said.
