Discovery’s Kamilah Hank was among a number of paddlers who represented Gauteng at the South African Canoe Marathon Championships. The competition took place in Pietermaritzburg over the weekend of 12 and 13 August.
Kamilah won a gold medal as well as finished fifth with a time of 1:16 in the single kayak race. She also partnered with Jo-ane Prinsloo to win a second place podium position in a time of 1:9.
In the U/12 age group, Ameerah Hank, also representing Gauteng, won the girls race.
