Vandalism causes Florida power outage
Power should be restored by 4pm today
The power outage affecting parts of Florida, Florida North and Florida Park, should be a thing of the past within the next one to three hours.
According to Ward 70 councillor, Caleb Finn, the power outage was caused by vandals that targeted the substation on Beacon Road in Florida North.
“City Power is aware of the outage and technicians are currently busy replacing the stolen and vandalised components. It is estimated that the power will be restored by 4pm today,” Caleb said.
