Gielie Nel Senior and Gielie Nel Junior reached a milestone worth celebrating recently – the father and son crossed the finish line at the Florida Park Run for the 50th time. Family and close friends cheered the pair on before they were led towards the finish line with a red 50 banner to mark the occasion.
“I joined the Park Run with my father because we saw it as a way to spend time together and deepen the bond of our relationship.
My father is 64 years old and is still very active, that’s why he is such an inspiration, not only to me, but those around him too,” said Gielie Junior.
The Florida Park Run takes place every Saturday at the Len Rutter Park on Golf Club Terrace from 8am.
