Crashed bakkie linked to house robberies in the area

White bakkie involved in a crash is believed to be the same one that was used in house robberies in Roodepoort.

The driver of the suspicious white bakkie that has been linked to various house burglaries in the Roodepoort area, was arrested this afternoon after being involved in an accident on the corner of The Highway and Third Street in Florida.

Local authorities at the scene identified the vehicle as the same one that had allegedly been used during numerous robberies in the area. This was confirmed when photos of the accident was circulated on social media.

It has been reported that three suspects were in the bakkie when it crashed. It is understood that two of them fled the scene and left the driver entrapped in the wreckage.
