Businesses expand their horizons with Rocci

Roodepoort Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosts West Rand businesses for another meet-and-greet.

Businesses and charity organisations had the opportunity to expand their business horizons at the latest Roodepoort Chamber of Commerce and Industry meet-and-greet.

The morning networking session, held on 14 July at the Afrique Boutique Hotel in Ruimsig, was kicked off by entrepreneur, motivational speaker and business coach, Vinesh Maharaj. He encouraged everyone present to support local business and help grow one another, instead of taking business out of the West Rand.

All the businesses’ and organisations’ representatives had the opportunity to introduce themselves and talk about what their business or charity does and can do for other businesses.

Throughout the presentations, Vinesh gave advice to those present on how they should be networking and how to follow up after the initial meeting at the meet-and-greet. “Think about how you can help the other business –maybe you know of someone who needs a financial planner and you can approach that person with a business opportunity, instead of only thinking of how they can help you,” Vinesh advised.

Everyone enjoyed tea, coffee and breakfast muffins after the presentations, as they networked among themselves.
