Honeydew Glover Paddocks ride over the competition

Glover Parks Equestrian riders steal the show at the Sanesa awards evening.

 

Glover Paddocks Equestrian Park riders achieved outstanding results at the Gauteng West Regional South African National Equestrian School Association (Sanesa) awards evening.

The event, held at Usambara in Mulderdrift, celebrated the top achievers in Gauteng West, who had successfully competed in the qualifying shows held between January and June. The most successful riders were selected to represent Gauteng West at the Regional Show where all districts will compete against each other.

Some of the outstanding achievements were as follows:

High school awards:

• Nicole Duvenage (Curro Aurora) riding Quickstep – 1st place, top achiever and victrix ludorum

• India Gowans (Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge) riding Yours Always – 2nd place

• Hannah Macnamara (Northcliff High) riding Torch Singer – 3rd place

• Beate Malan (Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge) riding Rivendale – 4th place

Primary school awards:

• Anya Brink (Laerskool Louw Geldenhuys) riding Cornerstone’s Kashan – bronze for working hunter and overall 4th place trophy winner

• Alexi Hassel (Charterhouse) riding Desert Spirit – bronze medal for showjumping and overall 6th place trophy winner

• Miah Hume (Charterhouse) riding Fred – silver for performance riding, silver for Prix Caprilli and overall 8th place trophy winner

• Christiaan Prinsloo (Maragon Primary) riding Kondos Andraki II – bronze for performance riding, bronze for Prix Caprilli and overall 9th place trophy winner

• Amone Janse van Rensburg (Laerskool Roodekrans) riding Midsummer Night’s Dream – overall 10th place trophy winner

• Catherine Priest (Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge) riding Midnight Express – gold medal for equitation

“The riders from Glover Paddocks EP achieved unprecedented results in 2017 across all disciplines with 23 medals and 10 trophies under our belt.

Fantastic dedication, effort and sportsmanship by our riders and instructors. I couldn’t be more thrilled,” said Kerryn Maher, owner of Glover Paddocks.
