Sector 3 chair resigns, committee finds new venue

Honeydew CPF Sector 3 chairman Reg Mazibuko steps down from his position due to personal reasons.

Honeydew Community Policing Forum (CPF) Sector 3 members from Little Falls and Strubens Valley areas will heave a sigh of relief after their complaints about their current CPF venue were addressed.

The Sector 3 members have been sharing a venue with Sector 2 at Honeydew Police Station after allegedly being barred from using the Strubens Valley Library in May.

During a recent meeting, numerous attendees complained about the risk and distance involved in meeting at Honeydew Police Station. They expressed their dissatisfaction and requested that a new venue be found as soon as possible.

The former Sector 3 CPF chairman, Reg Mazibuko, who resigned with immediate effect from his position last week, said during his term no decision was taken about the new venue.
