Alleged sexual predator teacher case postponed

The case will resume on 19 July.

The case of the 22-year-old Parktown Boys High teacher and assistant water polo coach, who hails from Roodepoort, in which he stands accused of sexually molesting at least 20 learners, has been postponed.

He appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court earlier today (11 July).

The State asked that the case be postponed because the indictment was not ready and the Directorate of Public Prosecutions representative could not attend the hearing.

The accused was arrested in November 2016 after he was allegedly caught on the school’s CCTV cameras molesting a 15-year-old boy. The case will resume on 19 July.
