Pitt Street murders: Second accused sentenced
Murders could have been prevented.
The second accused in the Pitt Street murders, Thando Notshe, 25, was sentenced in the Gauteng High Court on Wednesday 28 June.

Notshe received 15 years for armed robbery and a life sentence for each murder. He also has to serve the remaining six years of a 10-year sentence for housebreaking he was found guilty of in 2011. Notshe was released on parole after serving only four years.
His co-accused, Tshepo Ntsatsi, 23, was sentenced earlier after he had entered into a plea bargain with the state.

The two were found guilty of murdering David and Vera Gaunt in April 2016.
