Criminals caught on video trying to steal vehicle
Roodepoort residents are urged to be vigilant after criminals were caught on video attempting to steal a vehicle. The incident occurred yesterday morning in front of the Caxton Joburg West offices. In the video, the perpetrators are seen arriving in a white caddy van and parking next to a Fiat Uno.

Two men step out of the van and start fiddling with the Uno’s door on the driver’s side. Within seconds, they have the door open and one of the men gets into the vehicle while the other returns to the van. However, the would-be thief soon realises the Uno has an immobiliser and abandons his attempts.
So cool and confident is the perpetrator that he steps out of the Uno and walks around in the parking lot. He then returns to the van and leaves the scene.
