Motorcycle theft syndicate breakthrough
Police asking victims to come forward.
A member of the motorcycle theft syndicate that has been terrorising the West Rand for almost a year-and-a-half, was arrested on Monday, 12 June.
The arrest took place in Kagiso and a Toyota Quantum that was used in the thefts has been confiscated. A number of stolen motorcycles have also been recovered.

The Record has reported extensively on a motorcycle theft syndicate operating on the West Rand since last year and the investigating officer said it is believed that the arrested person is part of the same syndicate.
The police have asked anyone whose motorcycle was stolen in the past year to please contact Captain Odendaal on 082 319 9514.
