Earlier this month (3 June), Ruimsig’s Maragon Private Schools U/14, 16 AND First Team participated in the Warriors 7’s league.
With coaches Mr Spangenberg, Mr Schutte and Mr de Klerk playing a crucial role in the structure of the team, the players on the field ended their season off on a high note.
They did so by winning the cup final for the league. Keegan Armstrong had a great season; he scored a total of 10 tries during the league and was announced player of the season by the coaches.
The U/16 and U/14 team also held their heads up high as they finished the tournament in fourth and third place respectively.
U/16 player Dinga Javu ended the season with a total of 17 tries and Stephan Herbst Player of the season. In the U/14 team, Ronan Smit scored nine tries and Mahle Ningiza was named player of the season.
