Lions Clubs support World Diabetes Day
Free blood-pressure and diabetes testing offered on the day
10 June is World Diabetes Day and the Lions Club of Roodepoort Host will be showing their support by offering various essential health services to the community.
They will be at the Checkers Hyper Roodepoort, in the 14th Avenue District Shopping Centre, on the corner of Hendrik Potgieter Road and William Nicol Street from 9am to 1pm. Community members will be able to have their blood pressure checked and be tested for diabetes, free of charge. There will also be qualified counselling available.
They are urging the community to use this opportunity – it only takes a few minutes of your time and is important for your health and well-being. Everyone is welcome and no appointment is necessary.
