Little Falls sign gets a makeover from members of the community

LITTLE FALLS – A full on make-over sees the well-known Little Falls sign shine with pride.

The pride of Little Falls was restored after local residents took it upon themselves to repaint the Little Falls sign.

The ‘groot trek’ up the Little Falls koppie, based inside the nature reserve, took the young and old about an hour to hike on 3 June.

Aside from a few wrong twists and turns everyone managed to make it up the hill to the sign in one piece. The group was lead by long-standing resident Andrew (Andy) Hyslop, who despite his age, hikes up the koppie twice a week.

Hyslop explained that the sign is about 100 years old and had not been painted in many years.

His hope for the morning was to get the community together for a pleasant hike followed by painting the sign and ending off with a yummy picnic.
