Don’t be a victim of driveway robberies

To avoid becoming a victim of driveway robberies and hijacking, the RiverWel Residents Association released the following safety tips.

• If you feel you are being followed or if you feel unsafe while driving home, call your security company to escort you home and inspect your property
• Drive around the block while you wait for your security provider to respond to your call
• Be specific as to where you will meet the security provider
• If possible get the description and registration number of the suspicious vehicle
• Ensure your driveway entrance is brightly illuminated and free of any vegetation which could conceal suspects.
