Twelve injured in collision

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.

Twelve people were injured this morning (6 June) when two taxis and a vehicle collided at the Main Reef and Nadine Road intersection in Fleurhof.

According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, their paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 8.10am and found all three vehicles in the middle of the intersection.

They found several occupants of the three vehicles walking around on the scene, several of them young children.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that twelve had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were found.

The patients were treated for their injuries and transported to various provincial hospitals for further care.
