Planned outage to do essential maintenance
Residents of various areas in Florida will be affected by a planned power outage on 27 May.
The interruption will be from 10pm to 6am on 28 May, and the following areas will be affected:
• Cresswell Park,
• Florida,
• Hamberg,
• Discovery Ext 9,
• Florida Lake,
• Rand Leases Ext 2 and 10,
• Georginia,
• Vogelstruisfontein 231–IQ
According to City Power, the interruption is necessary to perform essential maintenance work on its network. “This forms part of our programme to constantly strive to provide better service,” the entity said.
Customers are urged to always treat electricity supply points as live, as the power could be restored at any time, without warning.
