UPDATE: Changes to times in large scale planned water outage

JOBURG – New times for the large scale water outage on 24 May.

Changes have been made to the planned water outage which will affect multiple areas in Roodepoort and Randburg.

All streets will be affected in the listed areas on 24 May from 11pm instead of 8am and may be restored between noon and midnight and not 2pm on 25 May.

The changes come from an article on Joburg Water’s website. According to the release the reason for the outage is planned maintenance at Honeydew reservoir.

Affected areas still include:

Bellairspark, Boskruin, Boundary Park, Bromhof, Bushill Estate, Cosmo City, Honey Park, Honeydew Manor, Hoogland, Huntershill, Kelvin Ridge, Kya Sands, Laser Park, Noordhang, Northriding, Northgate, Northwold, Olivedale, Randparkrif , Sharonlea, Radiokop, Honeydew, Ruimsig, Wilgeheuwel, Sonnedal, Honeydew Ridge, Sundowner, Tres Jolie, Zandspruit, Harveston, Mogale City and Kimbult AH.

Water tanks will still be located at:

  • Honeydew West and Boundary roads, Honeydew
  • Honeydew Police Station
  • Jackal Creek Estate
  • The Dome at Northgate
  • Corner of Aureole and Valley roads, Northwold
  • Northlands Décor Park
  • Uitval and Agnes roads, Bloubosrand
  • Zandspruit Informal Settlement
  • Itsotseng Informal Settlement
  • Malatjie Informal Settlement
  • Refill tanks at Life Wilgeheuwel Hospital
  • Amplifier and Earphone roads, Radiokop
  • Paul Kruger and Mozart roads, Honeydew Ridge.
  • Roaming tankers are to be used in other affected areas.
