Right on schedule, Hans Road is now open for motorists to use after its upgrade.
Ward 97 councillor, Leah Knott confirmed that the road has been open to motorists since 28 April, as was the estimated time of completion.
However, Knott said they are not completely finished, but motorists can use the road.
Kerryn Maher, the owner of Glover Paddocks, located on Glover Road which was used as a detour route during the upgrade, said it is too early to say how the road reopening is affecting Glover Road.
“However, the quality of the road and bend is great,” she added.

Part of the road upgrade included proper tarring of the road, as most of the agricultural roads in the area have a very thin layer of tar. The road has been widened and has proper drainage.
“Thank you to the developer who kept his word to the residents in terms of timing as well as maintaining the diversionary route at their own cost and for the much-needed upgrade to the road in that area and to JRA for ensuring compliance with regulations and also to residents for their patience,” said Knott.
