Watch: Checkpoint interview with Record journalist on slain journalist Nare

The Record recently reported on the mysterious death of world-renowned journalist Godknows Nare. He died in a hail of bullets in Florida on 17 April.

The Metro Police who allegedly murdered Nare claimed that he shot first and in reply they fired 10 shots of which four hit Nare. But police watchdog the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) found that this was not the case, which raises more questions than answers.
Shortly after the Record article had appeared, award-winning investigative journalist and presenter of eNCA’s Checkpoint, Nkepile Mabuse, approached the Record to share notes and conduct an interview with the journalist working on the story.
