Punches will be thrown and some will be kissing the floor at the BRD Academy Sport Management boxing evening. The matches will be hosted at Presleys in Boksburg.
But Roodepoort fans do not despair as two local fighters from BRD Sport Academy will be making their debuts on the night. Local Mitch Steyn will be taking on Junior Makondo in the fourth scheduled match of the evening. They will be trading blows in the Catch Weight division, weighing in at 64km. In the heavyweight division, local fighter Greg Olivier will make his grand return to the ring after a long hiatus. He will be taking on Peto Kapepa in the seventh scheduled match of the evening.
Head coach Manny Fernandes has pushed Mitch and Olivier far beyond their limits. The duo recently received their boxing licences and will be raring to go and show off the hard work they have put in.
The event in Boksburg will be on 7 May at 7pm and fans can look forward 10 scheduled matches of varying degree.
