Four injured in Florida Lake collison

No serious or fatal injuries reported

Four people, including two children, were injured in a collision at the Albertina Sisulu and Westlake Roads intersection this morning (19 April).

ER24 paramedics found one vehicle lying on its side while the second vehicle had come to a stop a short distance away. They discovered that the two adults and two children who were inside the overturned vehicle had already climbed out.

The victims were assessed and it was found that the man, woman and children (aged between five and seven) had sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were treated on the scene and transported to Leratong Hospital for further treatment.

According to Russell Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, the occupants of the second vehicle did not sustain any injuries. “It is understood that, following the collision, one of the vehicles crashed into a tree and overturned,” Meiring said.

Local authorities were on scene and the incident will be investigated.
