Wittington, who has participated in various projects hosted by the forum decided to design the wooden sign so that the forum would get recognition in the community.

“I decided to make the sign so that when the members [of the forum] are at work, people can see who is doing the job and who they are,” Wittington said.

The MyNeighbour Forum has been in the forefront of many community projects in the area such as mowing grass along Hendrik Potgieter Road and maintaining Brenda Ruvando’s cross which stands on the corner of Cascades and Hendrik Potgieter roads.

The forum also has a new initiative, MyCupboard.

The aim of this project is to collect unwanted or unused goods such as clothes and books, as well as groceries from the community to donate to the less fortunate.
