Visiting family in far-off destinations is quite the norm during the Easter weekend.
The Mogale City Traffic Department has issued the following tips and guidelines for motorists to be safe on the roads:
• Before your trip, do a proper systematic check and make sure your car is roadworthy
• Sleep enough the night before to avoid tiredness
• Make sure you have a valid driver’s licence
• Have your medical aid details or the number of your next of kin close by
• Do not speed
• Do not drink and drive
• Always put on your safety belt first
• Avoid talking on your cellphone while driving
With these few safety tips, you are one step closer to reaching your destination safely.
