Ghostbusting – Roodepoort style

This new series is all in the name of fun.

Last week was the launch of our new series, Historic hauntings, ghosts, ghouls and goosebumps.

We have earmarked a few places where people claim ghosts are hanging around, and we started with the Caxton building. What a lot of fun we had.

Much organising and investigating go into something like this. Just trying to find out more about the history of our building was quite a task and a half, but, again, with the community’s help, we managed to piece together most of the puzzle.

I gather from most of the comments on our Facebook page that people enjoy the new series. Others were not so happy. One reader commented that there must be real news we can report on.

Yes there is, but the papers are filled with doom and gloom, murders, Zuma’s antics and everything else in between. We will keep on reporting on real issues as we always do. This new series is all in the name of fun, to get your mind off the ugly and bad news you are bombarded with daily.

We are already lining up another place to visit, but I will have to keep it a secret until we managed to secure the building for a late-night visit.

Let me know what you think of our Ghostbusting – Roodepoort style. Also, let us know if your house has an interesting history or story, and is said to be haunted.

Until next week, take care of one another.

Ciao
