After an armed robbery at a residential complex in Little Falls, a getaway tactic through an electric fence left security officers stunned on 30 March.
According to BCI Security’s operation manager, Gerhard Visagie, the robbers allegedly tried to shoot at a security officer before making off with household valuables from the complex.

“The robbers [attempted to shoot] the security officer as they got away with some household items over the back fence,” Visagie said.
He added that the robbers broke off the bottom wire of the electric fence to get in and out of the premises.
Visagie also mentioned that police and other security companies arrived at the scene to investigate the matter.
The spokesperson for Honeydew Police Station, Captain Balan Muthan, said he is waiting for a report regarding the incident.
