This followed an incident on Tuesday at about 1.30pm. A resident of Dromedaris Street locked all the doors and windows of her home, activated the alarm and left. On her return she was confronted by two men in her kitchen. When she managed to press the panic button they ran out and scaled the wall. The woman chased after them and her neighbour screamed for help. Other neighbours then joined in the chase and the two alleged house robbers were arrested further down the street.
The two suspects, aged 19 and 22, were detained at Roodepoort Police Station.
