This past Friday (24 March) two men and a woman were arrested after they allegedly had robbed a pedestrian.

At about 11.40am members of the crime prevention unit were stopped by a woman who was robbed of her cellphone on Church Street. She gave the police a description of the motor vehicle, a black VW Polo, with three occupants.

The police chased the car and managed to pull the suspects over on 1st Avenue. They searched the suspects and the car, and found the complainant’s cellphone, housebreaking implements and drugs.
The suspects aged between 19 and 26 were arrested and will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court soon.
