At about 9pm yesterday evening the two male and one female suspects were driving around in their Mercedes-Benz, first stopping at a garage on Mimosa Street and then at one on Ouklip Road. According to the petrol attendants the foursome asked suspicious questions about surrounding businesses, such as whether there was any cash on the premises. The petrol attendants at the garage on Ouklip Road attempted to write down the vehicle’s registration number but the suspects sped off.

At about 4am this morning a Dowry High Risk reaction officer was patrolling in Constantia Kloof when he spotted the vehicle. He called in the registration number and discovered that it had been stolen in Florida yesterday afternoon. He followed the Mercedes-Benz and a chase ensued.
