Snuggling up with granny and grandpa
RADIOKOP – Children perform and picnic with their grandparents to show them love and respect
Little ones and their grandparents enjoyed a picnic in the sunshine during Junior College Snuggles‘ annual Grandparents Day.

Principal Megan Hunt, explained that the school feels it is a developmental milestone for children to show their love and respect for their grandparents.

“Since grandparents are a cornerstone of society, we think it is important for our children to know how special they are,” said Hunt.

On 17 March the children put on a concert of old nursery rhymes and then the families moved out into the school grounds to enjoy a picnic.
Children without grandparents were joined by their parents or were ‘adopted’ for the day by another family.

The day continues to be a well-supported school event that saw many happy, smiling children and adults.
