Warning: Avoid Albertina Sisulu, armed men

Motorists are strongly advised to avoid Albertina Sisulu Road between Corlett Avenue and Wilgespruit Road.

Reports have been coming through on social media about men, some of them allegedly armed with pickaxes and similar weapons, having been spotted on this stretch of road. Metro Police and the police have been called out. It is uncertain whether they will close the road and if so, when.

Please use alternative roads.

This past month this stretch of road has been plagued by protests.
