Update: New version of yesterday’s stabbing surfaces

Daughter confirms source visited but his facts were wrong.

The daughter of the elderly man who was stabbed during an attempted hijacking on Naboom Street said the source who gave the Record the information got it wrong.

She confirmed that our informant had visited them at about 8pm, as he told the Record, but said there might have been a misunderstanding. She said the suspects did not overpower her father in the house but walked past the house as her father was about to leave in his vehicle. They pulled him out of the vehicle and immediately started stabbing him. It was during the altercation that he bit one suspect’s finger. When he started screaming, the police were alerted and the suspects fled. She said she believes it was an attempted hijacking that went awry.

She also said that although her father is in the intensive care unit, he did not undergo surgery and is in a stable condition.
