Senior citizens to be spoilt on V-day
Mrs Africa Earth 2017 planning to show the elderly some love
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we are all looking forward to receiving some extra love and attention.
Carin van Rooyen, who was recently crowned Mrs Africa Earth, is planning on doing just that. She will be hosting a Valentine’s tea at the Donovan McDonald Old Age Home in Maraisburg on 13 February.
“I decided to do the tea on 13 February as this is when the residents play bingo. I am planning to start at 10am until about 12noon,” she said.

The event will be informal with tea and snacks while everyone enjoys some background music. Carin plans to chat with the residents and just show them some love – something many of them crave.
She added, “I have asked for sponsored gifts which I can give away as spot prizes.”
