3 days of blasting from 2pm to 4pm along JG Strydom

WELTEVREDEN PARK – Traffic will be affected for three days this week while blasting continues...

Residents are advised that more blasting for the F46 Rand Water Pipeline Project will commence today and will continue throughout the rest of the week.

The blasting is scheduled to take place from 2pm to 4pm daily and will be in the road reserve along JG Strydom Road and between Tamarisk and Harebell streets.

This section of JG Strydom Road will be closed to all traffic during those times. All traffic will be diverted via Tamarisk and Kastaiing streets and either Lobelia Avenue or Harebell Street.

“We recommend [the public] to keep sensitive pets indoors and we regret any inconvenience caused,” said community liaison officer for the project, Jan von der Heyde.

According to Von der Heyde, notices of more blasting will be released as and when blasting is required and if the weather is permitting, however, the blasting is likely to continue as the team moves up along JG Strydom Road.
