This is to bring to your attention that water is a precious source of life for all of us on Earth, which is the reason for writing to you in response to the abuse of our water supply. On the one hand we hear and see adverts claiming that penalties will be enforced upon those not adhering to the restrictions. Those restrictions are in place for certain people living in old age homes because the water supply is off for days.
The toilet tap at Witpoortjie Station has been squirting water from the toilet onto the ceiling since last weekend, despite reporting it to the station ticket office since the beginning of last week. They tell me they are aware of this problem, but still nothing is being done.
I noticed this on Sunday 4 December. The water has now covered the whole room and the ceiling is busy caving in. I mean, how much does it cost to turn off the main water tap? It seems to take longer to do this than it would take to drive to Cape Town.
