Tips for your next beach outing

Many residents are looking forward to a holiday by the sea, but going to the beach poses many little challenges.

Here are some tips to make your outing more pleasurable:

• Store your electronics in plastic bags.

• Bring along the right type of sunscreen.

• Bring along a first aid kit.

• Teach children not to bother the lifeguards.

• Get to the beach early in the day.

• Know where the bathrooms are.

• Bring along a change of clothes – for everyone.

• Don’t make strangers watch your kids.

• Bring along lots of water.

• Take cheap sunglasses to the beach.

• Eat a hearty breakfast before your outing.
