Welties Christmas market and carols
WELTEVREDEN PARK – The community celebrated the beginning of the festive season.
Family and friends united at the Welties Christmas market and carols by candlelight.

Youngsters from Weltevreden Park Primary School sold beautifully decorated candles for fundraising so that each person could shine a little brighter at the event.

The stalls were filled to the brim with delightful festive season gifts and stocking fillers. They boasted items such as Christmas tree decorations, sweets and homemade confectionary, toys, and herb infused lotions.

The Honeydew Sector 2 Community Police Forum (CPF) showed up in full force and displayed their bright yellow bibs with pride. Public relations officer, Jon Rosenberg explained, “Events like these are so important for the community. Not only does it create a sense of a tight-knit community but it creates awareness of the CPF and how it makes the community safer.”

A ton of fun was had when excited guests flooded the school hall to join together in singing Christmas carols.
