Discovery Community Forum (DCF) hosted a public relations (PR) day on Pitts Street recently.
According to Hennie Matthews of the DCF the aim was to raise awareness of crime in the area but also for the community to get to know each other. Dunmar Security handed out boerewors rolls while the DCF handed out cold drinks. Other stakeholders present were Roodepoort Police, Apcan Security, Leandra Real Estate and ER24.
“We want to encourage the community to join us in the fight against crime, but also for them to build relationships among another,” said Hennie.
