The children of Weltevreden Park Primary School held its foundation phase academic prize-giving ceremony recently.
Grade 1s, 2s and 3s were awarded a variety of certificates for their hard work during the year. For families, this was a great opportunity to see their little ones shine on the stage with their silver or gold certificates.
Principal of the school, James van Dyk said, “We have achieved so much this year. Congratulations go to the parents and especially the children, they make us so proud.”
The school also achieved a success mark in the provisional exams which the Grade 3s and Grade 7s wrote. “Our provincial results show that we are the top primary school in the west rand,” added Van Dyk.
Parents and family members watched on in joy as each one of their children was called up to the stage to collect their special awards.
