Johannesburg Water is pleading with ratepayers to reduce water usage to avoid taps running dry in areas such as Honeydew.
The alert was released on the entity’s Facebook page as an emergency alert to warn that reservoirs were critically low.
Other affected areas beside Honeydew and surroundings, was Diepsloot, Bramfischerville and Aeroton surroundings.
