Suspect taken to hospital after being caught by home owner

One suspect was apprehended by a home-owner after he and three associates tried to break into a garden flat in Van Lille Street last night (30 November).

The incident occurred at about 9.30pm. One of residents in the house wanted to go to the flat when she saw the four suspects. She started screaming, and the owner of the house ran out. Although three of the suspects managed to flee, the owner managed to catch one suspect. A scuffle broke out and the suspect was seriously injured.

After being handed over to the police, he was taken to hospital.
