Klinkenberg murder – one year on
Coming Saturday will mark his death a year ago.
Saturday 3 December will be exactly a year since well-known Roodepoort attorney Robert Klinkenberg was found murdered next to his Porsche on the Hekpoort road in the Magaliesburg area.
It seems though that the police have yet to make any inroads into the investigation. This past week a member of the police close to the case could only divulge that “the investigation is ongoing but there is nothing positive yet. We are still joining the dots”. The police though have been known to misinform the media on the status of cases in the past, especially when they are close to a breakthrough.
Klinkenberg’s death was first treated as a suicide but the findings of the postmortem forced them to change it to a murder investigation. The police denied rumours that Klinkenberg’s murder was related to the Krugersdorp murders.
