End the year in song with the Welsh Male Voice Choir of South Africa at #JozisNO1outdoor.

The mellow voices of Welsh Male Voice Choir of South Africa will reverberate around the ridge of the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens for this year’s Christmas Carols.

According to Ronny Tshabalala, marketing and communication officer, leading the pack on stage, on the evenings of 25 and 26 November from 5pm, will be the Soweto Marimba Youth League pumping their up-tempo tunes of yesteryear.

This will be followed by a specially assembled community choir and other individual artists. By sunset the stage will be set for The Welsh Male Voice Choir to lead the masses into singing carols.

Joy to the World, Silent Night, Jingle Bells are some of the songs that will constitute the repertoire for the event.

“As this is a family-oriented event, children will not be left out as there will many activities such as face paintings, jumping castles for their treat,”said Tshabalala.

Christmas candles and sheet music will be sold at the gate, where there will also be donation boxes.

The day of 26 November will also see a spinnathon, 6–12km fun run/ walk early in the morning and market stalls throughout the day.
