With many kilometres of hiking trails available globally, there is no lack of opportunity to celebrate National Take a Hike Day on 17 November.
Hiking can burn between 400 and 550 calories per hour, which is an excellent way to get a head start on all the “other” holiday temptations. When you do decide to take a hike, ensure you wear good shoes, have a snack and water handy, and bring a buddy.
But the most important part of Take a Hike Day is to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and scenery, and get in some exercise to boot!
To celebrate National Take a Hike day, gather your friends and family, decide on a nice hiking trail and get hiking!
