Carols by Candlelight at Garden World

Bring your picnic basket and join this annual event

Garden World will host its annual Carols by Candlelight charity evening on 1 December from 6pm, and everyone is welcome to join in the fun.

The entertainment for the evening includes the master of ceremonies Lizz Meiring, appearances by some of the West Rand’s 7de Laan actors and a special appearance by the winners and runners-up of the 2016 SA Bachelor and Bachelorette competition.

To invite you to participate in this beautiful celebration in song, the choir from the NG Kerk Weltevredenpark (under the guidance of Christo Bezuidenhout) will entertain the public with traditional Christmas Carols.

The artists performing at the evening include George Meiring, Karlien Husselman, Skarlaken, PJ Engelbrecht, Vasti and a special performance by Manie Jackson and Lance James.

To make sure everyone is in a festive mood, the venue will be decorated with colourful Christmas lights and promises enjoyment for the whole family. You are invited to bring your own picnic basket. Entrance to this joyous occasion is free, but you are requested to support this worthy cause by donating a minimum of R20 per person or food hampers for those in need. Carol sheets and candles will also be available on the evening (a donation towards those will be greatly appreciated as well).
Food stalls will remain open throughout the evening for refreshments and the Christmas Craft Market will be open until 9pm for those special gifts.

The gifts and donations received this year will benefit the Theatre Benevolent Fund/ Teater Bystandfonds.
